We are a modern processor and producer of poultry and poultry meat products

HYZA a.s. is one of the leading modern processors and producers of poultry and poultry meat products not only in Slovakia but also in Europe.

HYZA a.s. directly employs more than 900 employees and also supports employment in the region on Slovak poultry farms and in agriculture.

Since 2006 HYZA a.s. is a member of the Agrofert holding group, which brings together more than 230 companies from the food processing, agriculture, chemistry and land technology sectors located in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

We process more than 100 000 chickens from Slovak farms every day.

We provide

Distribution of poultry from farms to store shelves in 12 to 24 hours because we sincerely care about freshness.

We comply with

The most stringent quality and product safety requirements and we are proud holders of GFSI /Global Food Safety Initiative/ and IFS certificates.

We follow

Animal welfare rules (animal welfare programme) and we require the same from supplier farms.

We use

Modern technology of the world’s leading company MAREL, unlike other manufacturers and suppliers, we openly guarantee not only the place of processing, but also the place and quality of breeding and the uncompromisingness of independent veterinary inspection.

Insulation
of roofs

Insulating roof profiles significantly helps with saving electricity not only in winter, when it keeps more heat in the building, but also in summer, when we save on cooling production or office spaces.

Utilization of
waste heat

We provide hot water preheating by using waste heat from air and refrigeration compressors. This process helps us to significantly reduce gas consumption.

Replacement of
steam pipes

New technologies can save a lot of money as the whole system works more efficiently. We have achieved this by replacing the steam piping and also by installing a new boiler.

Photovoltaic
panels

Harnessing solar energy is one of the best helpers when trying to save energy. That is why we approach the installation of photovoltaic panels. All our efforts have a positive impact not only on our budget but also on nature.

The history of the company dates back to 1945, when poultry breeding started in our company. Gradually, we have grown into the most modern plant in Central Europe with our own farms, while respecting animal welfare conditions.

Construction of the first poultry slaughterhouse in Topoľčany

The construction of the first poultry slaughterhouse in Topoľčany was started in order to ensure the supply of the Nitra region. Production started in 1960 with a daily production of 2 500 poultry. There was a slaughtering hall, 3 cold stores and 1 pre-cooling room.
